Thoughts about aging

As you get older, do your thoughts change about aging? Do you see visible signs that lets you know you are getting older? I was on a plane a few years ago and started scribbling a mind map and notes on aging. Just wrote it up as an article which was published on The Caribbean Current.

Photos: Out And About In Rural Grenada

Saturday was Road Trip Day. I tossed my Samsung phone, iPad and Fuji Fine Pix camera into the bag. In the end, I only used the Samsung. I went from St George to the town of Gouyave in the parish of St John where I bought a delicious fish roti. Saw where Kirani James grew up. Man you gotta lift your hats off to his mother. Next it was on to Diamond in St Mark.

Grenada is a lovely island and exploring as a single female is very safe. I ended up in dead ends in Mount Granby and elsewhere. Check out all the photos on my Flickr page. At some point I will put captions.

Paris Hilton…I like your spirit

“That’s hot” 🙂

Was listening to her on Wendy Williams talking about all the things she is involved with. Apart from being a hotel heir, she has a perfume line, she has tons of stores in Asia and Europe and she gets paid A LOT of money to DJ. Part of the segment was about some sour graped DJs saying that she just come and imagine she getting more money than them.

I like Paris Hilton’s spirit because she is clearly about coming alive in this life, having fun and having her hands in a lot of pies. Eat on Paris.

12 reasons to tempt you to drop everything and move to Grenada

I agree with everything Michelle Peterson had to say in this article. Having lived here mostly for the better part of 17 years though, there are somethings she mentions which I have not yet experienced. Better get a move on it!

Pampering the yamfeet

Gotta look after those feet and make the toes look purty! Perfect Friday night stress buster, especially the foot massage.

Miss Congeniality is Miss Jamaica Universe 2005

You remember that movie with Sandra Bullock? She was voted Miss Congeniality and went on to win.

Same thing in Miss Jamaica Universe. Miss Congeniality won. Rachelle Wright. From I heard the interview segment that was my winner. She was intelligent and very comfortable. This was unlike Shavoy Gordon who tied for third. She was told that she had 60 seconds to market jamaica. She said something like this.

“We gave you Bob Marley, the Bobsled team and recently Veronica Campbell, and I want to be a part of that legacy”.

Terrible.

Another was asked if she was banished from jamaica, which country she would want to go to. She responded by saying..

“If I was abolished from Jamaia…..”

Rachel )not sure of spelling) was asked about how she would improve basic education in Jamaica and she said the first thing would be to start with the parents so that they understand that education is important, that they must get involved in their kids’ education, that they must send kids to school etc. Very good response I thought.

I got the feeling that Mad Bull’s pick (wink) thought she would have been the runaway winner. She tied for third only.

I could be a judge cause I picked number 1 and number 2, Shaunelle Blake who also won Most Aware and Most Photogenic.

The production was terrible. Very cheap. Not grand at all.

I say….give me a contestant’s body, and I would win hands down!!!
