So much for financial freedom!

Well, things aren't turning out as planned financially, but it could be worse I guess. I could probably be unemployed like quite a few people here.

So I won't complain. Just need to tighten the belt and change gears a bit, and use my "spare" time more productively.

Weird Dream #2

Now this one takes the cake. I actually woke up with my heart thumping this morning. Here's why....

I dreamt I was renting a very spacious house/villa. Can't tell you what country it was in, but it wasn't Jamaica. I knew the house belonged to Oprah Winfrey. I did not expect to see her. But in the dream, it was about 5pm. Her show had just finished, and lo and behold, Ms Oprah Winfrey's assistant walks in to say that Oprah wants to stay the night there, so I needed to vacate, just for a night. What tha???????

When I had moved in (and it wasn't that I was on vacation, though y'all think that that is all I do!), I had packed up her stuff like cutlery and so on, and installed my own. So I dutifully started to pack up all my stuff, including my clothes.

A few minutes into the packing up, the Assistant brought two plates of either chicken and salad or fish and salad and placed them on a table in the living room. Then Oprah walked in, with another lady. She said hello, introduced her friend saying "you know my partner ______ (can't remember the name)". So I said yes, and she asked if I had read that she had come out, and I said yes. She said they were just going to eat the food, and then go out for a bit, to allow me time to pack up. Before she left, I told her that I had learnt so much from her show over the years, and that some of who I am today is because of the people she had on her show. (That's true...people like Cheryl Richardson, Dr Phil, Dr Oz...).

So mi start fi look pon all di tings weh mi haffi do. When you're overwhelmed, what you gonna do? Call yuh madda! So over comes Mummy and starts helping. Then friend Karen pops by and is roped in. The thing is, none of them was phased by the fact that Oprah wanted her house for the night!

9pm rolls around and we not finish now. Mi start fi fret because I didn't know if Oprah would kick up a stink if she came back and I was not yet done. It was at this point that I woke up....heart thumping.

Call in the Dream Interpreters again. And no, I am NOT star-struck! And no.....ah never eat no big set of food (read: plantain tarts) before going to bed. The food was well digested.

A weird dream: #1

I have very vivid dreams. Very detailed, and I see images...just as if it were real. One morning recently, I woke up remembering the dream I had about the stars of Twilight.

Now I have never watched Twilight. If you were to ask me what it is, I'd say it's a TV show that they've now turned into a movie. If you asked me what the stars - Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart - look like, I couldn't tell you. In fact, I've just googled Kristen and this is what she looks like. Who knew?

So in the dream, they both came to stay at the hotel I work at, just for one night. Then the following day, we somehow ended up in Canada. They were to do a promotion at a department store. The only way you could get into the store was by climbing over a high wall. When the dream ended, I was having difficulty getting over the wall. They were already inside.

Now if you are one who interprets dreams, what would you say this dream means? Wait until you read about Weird Dream # 2!

She just loud mi up!

Was flying between Barbados and Kingston the other day. Had too much sugar the night before my flight, and so my stomach was in turmoil on the morning of the flight. As I landed in the back of the plane, I asked the Flight Attendant for some Angostura Bitters and water. That helped a little.

When the drinks cart came around after the meal was served, I asked that other Flight Attendant for some Bitters and Water. I spoke very softly, in case the old couple beside me could have earlier smelt the emissions, and then think "oh, it was she!" (You know you try and pass the bombs quite innocuously so that nobody will think it's you?).

Anyway, after I tell the lady what I want to drink, she says very loudly "you're not feeling well?" Sheesh!

Di Yam Foot Sick!

I was trying to bear the pain, but the Yam Foot has to go into physical therapy this week to try and get rid of the pain. Pain in my ankle, pain in my foot foot, pain in my Achilles heel....

Xrays were ok, so no bone issues, just muscle. Will try and follow all of the therapist's advice for what to do on days I don't need to see her.
