Now this one takes the cake. I actually woke up with my heart thumping this morning. Here's why....
I dreamt I was renting a very spacious house/villa. Can't tell you what country it was in, but it wasn't Jamaica. I knew the house belonged to Oprah Winfrey. I did not expect to see her. But in the dream, it was about 5pm. Her show had just finished, and lo and behold, Ms Oprah Winfrey's assistant walks in to say that Oprah wants to stay the night there, so I needed to vacate, just for a night. What tha???????
When I had moved in (and it wasn't that I was on vacation, though y'all think that that is all I do!), I had packed up her stuff like cutlery and so on, and installed my own. So I dutifully started to pack up all my stuff, including my clothes.
A few minutes into the packing up, the Assistant brought two plates of either chicken and salad or fish and salad and placed them on a table in the living room. Then Oprah walked in, with another lady. She said hello, introduced her friend saying "you know my partner ______ (can't remember the name)". So I said yes, and she asked if I had read that she had come out, and I said yes. She said they were just going to eat the food, and then go out for a bit, to allow me time to pack up. Before she left, I told her that I had learnt so much from her show over the years, and that some of who I am today is because of the people she had on her show. (That's true...people like Cheryl Richardson, Dr Phil, Dr Oz...).
So mi start fi look pon all di tings weh mi haffi do. When you're overwhelmed, what you gonna do? Call yuh madda! So over comes Mummy and starts helping. Then friend Karen pops by and is roped in. The thing is, none of them was phased by the fact that Oprah wanted her house for the night!
9pm rolls around and we not finish now. Mi start fi fret because I didn't know if Oprah would kick up a stink if she came back and I was not yet done. It was at this point that I woke up....heart thumping.
Call in the Dream Interpreters again. And no, I am NOT star-struck! And no.....ah never eat no big set of food (read: plantain tarts) before going to bed. The food was well digested.
