A great website for entering the foods you eat

I'm trying to lose some weight before my next Jamrock trip in June. So am really focussing on the calories. You'd be amazed by how a handful of cashew there...a spoonful of peanut butter there....a slice of bread there, adds up.

I have started using this website to track my foods. Try it. It has a lot of the stuff I eat. Better than Fitday.com I think.

For this first week, I have done between 1700 and 2000 calories. I think I need to go down to 1600 to see any real weight loss. I am weighing every Sunday. I have also been doing weights again, though only for upper body so it shouldnt add too much on the scale.

Thanks for pointing it out Yammie. I have been watching what I'm eating but not very closely. I have been concentrating on building up my stamina on the bike and get to 10 miles per ride, then monitor my time over that distance gettig faster and faster as I go along.

I know weight loss will come the fitter I am and with proper dieting.

also working ou with weights (resistance training) helps in fueling your metabolism, especially if you do it in the late evenings. I noitce that you have stressed only upper body, do you honestly think you would bulk up if you do full body exercises ??

Ignoring leg exercises eminates the option of ou doing the Grandmother of all exercises - The Squat. This is a compund movement as it not only works out your legs, but lower back and upper body. The body has to work to together to stabilize the weight on your shoulders while you perform the execise properly to ensure that you dont hurt your back.

plus

We all know that larger muscles help to burn fat faster

Great site, I use Weightwatchers to track mine, but tracking calories and food take a real effort.
