I think maybe because of the instantaneousness (is that a word?) of Facebook, for many of us bloggers, it might be taking over from blogging.
On Facebook, you can change your status often, which is like mini blogging, and people can see it instantly if they are online and respond, you can chat, be interactive etc.
So is Facebook the new blogging?
Posted by yamfoot at February 14, 2009 12:33 PMnope twitter is the new blogging.think they even call it microblogging
Posted by: jdid at February 14, 2009 09:12 PMI agree with Jdid. Twitter is the new blogging... though for most people it's more like supplemental blogging than micro-blogging. Twitter is fascinating. It's like a group chat room and a blog had a love child.
Posted by: maria at February 16, 2009 12:27 PMFacebook is very popular, but I think blogging will stick around for now. Twitter is getting very popular too and may be the next stave in the evolution of blogging.
Posted by: Stunner at February 16, 2009 09:00 PMTwitter it is. Sometimes I don't get twitter cos you can easily use Facebook status updates as your twitter
Posted by: kami at February 16, 2009 09:20 PMI'll admit. Facebook did in my blogging time. What was worse is that literally everyone Facebooks at work and it's much easier to just change a status/leave a wall post and Alt+Tab back over to work, rather than log in and mentally prepare for a blog. To be fair though, I've never been one to use the Notes feature the way some people do. Things of that length will remain on my blog. And I don't tweet... I can only handle one piece of mass hysteria at a time!
