I've been walking up a storm

Instead of blogging up a storm, I've been walking up a storm.

I walk to work most days, unless somebody stops and gives me a lift, but I declined lifts already cause I need the exercise. The walk is only 20 minutes or so, but if I walk it home as well, that's 40 minutes exercise.

The walk home is uphill so by the time I reach home, I am bussing a big sweat. The other evening, I took off my pants, rolled up my shirt and did some Pilates standing exercises. The tiles are hard and there is no rug, so can't do floor work.

Thankfully though, I have found a place and am supposed to move 1st April. I'll be more settled then, and best of all, I will have internet and TV!!! Whoopie.

Good for you! The walking will certainly help to take off a few pounds and keeps your body healthy.

I can't find the time to walk, but I do 15 mins on the treadmill at the gym. 8mins walking and 7 mins running. I'm trying to increase the amount of mins I spend running though.

Keep it up. All the best with the moving.

Hey Woman,

Glad to see your note and know you are okay.It was good meeting up with you in Trini at that fete and realizing that you were indeed Yamfoot.

Boy did we get a laugh as we never knew it was you.I think another blogger was looking for Francis in the band (Tribe) but we both know he cannot sit still, so was roaming the streets all day, looking for Poison.
We had a blast, but I think I will go back to Poison next year, far better bachanal lime for me.I got a full CD of all the 2006 music today, and while the music energy was different,we had fun for sure.
Will you be in Jah for Carnival 2006. My first. lol. Keep us posted on deh Grenadians for sure

Peace
D & Francis

Now, on to another subject bloggers.....
I dont know why my page is looking like this. And I dont have the time to sit and go over the stylesheet or template to investigate why it is so.

am off tomorrow. what bliss.

I noticed your comments about your weight staying around 206 lbs. If you've been out of shape, your muscles will not be very developed. As part of getting back into shape, your muscles will gain mass.

Additional muscle mass means a higher metabolic rate. So though your total weight may increase for a bit as you develop muscle, you will be burning more calories. Your body's muscle to fat ratio will improve as you start burning off the excess fat. It just takes a while to convince the body to get out of storage mode.

So don't worry if you have a weight increase at the earlier stages of your program. You will start seeing results as you increase your cardio response (improves metabolism) and gain lean muscle mass.
