In the hairdressing salon today, a man came in selling June Plum (Pomme Cythere) and Sweet Sop (Sugar Apples). He punctuated most of his sentences with "to God be the glory".
I heard him say how life is good since he got saved recently. But the sad thing is that his baby mother says she is not sending the kids to look for him. He says when he talks to the kids they say they want to come and look for their daddy.
Why people stay so eeeh?
I wonder what he was like before he got saved.
Any of you had that "washed in the blood" experience of getting saved?
Posted by yamfoot at October 14, 2005 09:47 PMno but I am getting sick of a well meaning friend who keeps trying to get me to be saved like her I can't stand the superior way she behaves. Have a good weekend.
Posted by: Amelia at October 14, 2005 10:39 PMThankfully I don't have any friends like that.
Posted by: Michelle at October 15, 2005 12:06 PMI actually am living that "experience" of being saved. Hope not to turn you off or scare you away, but its an eye opener. I could tell you of experiences, etc that you would not believe! But at the same time you life is still pretty much quite normal; once you get the sin/temptation thing in check and get in the habit of constantly seeking HIS knowledge its all about personal, positive growth (and spreading the Gospel, that comes with the package). Who wouldn't want that?
Check out my blog at de-immigrant.blogspot.com, you will see I am still your average Jamaican joe in the U.S., no bible bashing or preachy do-good crap.
One time I went to a crusade and saw this woman start talking in Tongues...man I ran so far. I thought she wasa possesed by some evil spirit and having seen exorcist, i thought for sure it was gonna jump out of her and jump into me nex!!! Anyway I run like a rass so that spirit woulda had to be Powell to catch me!!!
