Dang she's good!

Yesterday I felt in the mood for a hair cut. If you know what natty head look like, that's the kind of hair I have without processing. Because that is really really tough to comb....really tough.....I put a texturizer in it. The natural hair has curls that are really very tightly wound. So think of a coil that has almost no space in between each rung. That's how my hair looks when it is natural.

The texturizer stretches out the coil of the curls a little, so it's still curly, but much lighter, and much easier to maintain and look after. Now sometimes, if you leave the texturizer cream on too long when it is being processed, the coils straighten right out. That's what happened to a few of my ends.

There is a hairdresser I go to when I want a hair cut. Nobody else in Jamaica or the Caribbean or England (and I've been to a few in those places) can cut hair as good as Mrs A. NOBODY. Period. She operates a salon called La Claire's on Constant Spring Road near the plazas.

She wasn't there yesterday, so I had to go today. I just sat in the chair, she asked me how I wanted it cut, I spent a couple seconds explaining it to her and then sat back, closed my eyes and listened to Days of Our Lives.

When she was done, she asked an assistant to give me the hand mirror so I could have a 360 degree view of my head. I said "no, no, I don't need to look in the mirror. Whatever Mrs A does will be great". And it was. Even some fo the other hairdressers said it looked great.

Dang she's good. When she was writing up my bill, I told her that I don't let anybody else cut my hair because I know she always does a perfect job. She said thanks and said that made her feel really good. I sent my mother to her one time, because her hairdresser was giving her some non-descript cuts. What Mrs A does is gives you a cut with precision. And it's always even.

So I'm liking my new short hair cut. I went to the gym today, so it all wet and sweaty. Maybe one day when it looking decent I will post a picture.
