If I asked everybody who reads this blog to put a comment saying "I read", wonder who I would see in the comments section?
Could there be people as far as from Timbuktu or as near as my backyard reading? With the World Wide Web, it just could be the Whole Wide World reading init?

Then the question is, if you know who's reading, do you change what you normally blog about.
Probably.
So.....
WHO'S READING?

I've actually been wondering this about my own site. My visitor levels have doubled recently, and I have a regular visitor from Australia and more than one, I think, from Trinidad, and a few from Canada. Some of them, I know who they are, but the others I'm so curious about.
Posted by: titilayo at February 9, 2005 03:05 PMI'm Tim, from Buktu. I read.
Posted by: Tim from Buktu at February 9, 2005 03:58 PMI try to write general stuff because I really don't know who is reading.Maybe about 3 friends I know in real life and even then I don't know how regularly they do.
Posted by: kami at February 9, 2005 08:19 PM"I read." Maybe de Pope's lookin' at this right now wonderin' if he should admit that he reads too--it mightn't matter if he did. Go ahead, Pope, admit that yer do.

It crosses my mind ever so often. That's why I don't post more pictures of family etc. I try to be very generic.
Yup, Yamfoot, I read....all the way from Caracas.
I'm like you, not sure who reads and wo don't. But it do makes a difference in what you write if you know who your readers are. So still tek some caution
I'm reading in Richmond VA, via Guyana
Posted by: Colin at February 10, 2005 12:37 PMI'm reading from Toronto via Barbados. I struggle with that question alot too and sometimes it bids my hands as to what I write.

Posted by: ges at August 24, 2005 03:16 PMI guess it's time to come out from lurking and confess that I read from beautiful Downtown brooklyn.
I once dissed a product in my blog only to have someone from their marketing department leave me a comment telling me quite nice to go and RTFM. Up until that point I thought the only people reading my blog were the ones I forced to read it LOL. Now I think twice before saying anything unkind about anything or anybody.
Posted by: ~V~ at September 8, 2007 01:57 AMThat is a funny question.
I never wonder who reads; my ramblings are not on the web for the betterment of mankind. It is a reflection of what my crazy mind sometimes has to say... questions, revalations, or a fact or two.
To answer your question.....

I used to care about what anonymous readers of my blog (the former one anyway http://bartart.thischick.com) used to think and so I used to be careful. Thats when I just started.
Then, I stopped caring.
