Model Stats

While in St Kitts, I used to watch America's Next Top Model. There was a plus sized girl in there, who wanted to win so she could be the first plus sized super model. I was actually surprised that she got that far. Anyway, this is what she looked like....

Toccara

Now remember I let my stats out of the closet. I', 5ft 8in and weigh 215 lbs. She's 35 pounds less than I am, and one inch taller. I'm trying to guage what size I'd like to be, and in 1993, I was 169, which I liked, but I was still a size 16 which is just one size down from where I am now. (Yes, I'm humongous).

Ideally I'd like to be a size 14. Mi nuh into di skinny minny bit, especially since I've been a chubby child all my life so people would just think I was ill if I went to 130 or some such weight. So 170 lbs is what I'm aiming for .... 160 at the least. Because I'm an A-B cup, I won't look like Toccara looks. In fact, when I lose some more weight, I'll probably be an AA!!!!

But does size matter? Obviously it does. Toccara didn't make it. She didn't have the model stats required.

A really pretty girl. They list her as plus size?
Looks right size to me.

Reportedly, she was eliminated when her bubbly personality started fizzlin' week after week and she lost her edge. Ah was like, "What happened to Toccara's sassy confidence? What happened to her?"

I agree with Scratchie and the Bull....nutten don't do her, she look quite arite...plus sized???

I guess we have been led to expect models to be wafer thin, tall, lacking in chest and so on, simply by the types that have made successful modelling careers. Frankly, I find the 'anorexic' look that many of them have awful. A liitle weight in the right places....irie! ;-)
