Of course it's too early to tell you how I ended 2004, cause 2004 hasn't ended yet!
But what I was talking about was how I ended the year in terms of weight. You know that's my number one topic init.
Everything will come out in the open now.....
Started the year a big fat 229 pounds. When I left here mid June to go to Grenada I weighed 210 pounds. Nuff sweat and dweet long at the gym accounted for that.
After a good start in Grenada, I slacked off (as I always do when I change locations) and so came back to Jamaica at about 214 pounds. It crept back up to about 220 or so while in St Kitts (another change in location accounted for that and just being totally knackered after conducting 6 - 7 hours of training 5 days a week).
When I got back to Jamaica at the beginning of this month, I weighed 219. Today I weighed (a big fat) 215.
So from the start of the year I have lost 14 pounds. Or if you want to look at it negatively, I've gained 5 pounds from my lowest weight this year. (I'll stick with the positive thank you)
SUMMARY.....
I'm a 5ft 8in 215lbs yamfooted 38 year old (but I look like 26....so I've been told several times) afro wearing Jamaican woman, who's trying to get to a
5ft 8in 169lbs alwayspedicured-yamfooted 39 year old (who looks like 20) who's sorted out just what she wants to do with her hair in 2005.
When I get to all that, I'll post a picture.....honest, I will. (Don't hold your breath)
ps. I know that 215 lbs sounds like a lot, but everybody who I ask to guess how much I weigh always guesses (or guess???) less than 180 lbs. So I guess I don't look 215 lbs and I don't look like 38. I'm just a walking deception aren't I?
Posted by yamfoot at December 31, 2004 07:52 PMSet little goals like 4 lbs pr month or 1lb per wk.And post the pic by installments:)
Posted by: kami at December 31, 2004 08:37 PMGood luck in 2005. Hope you're able to reach that desired weight. Enjoy the hair journey. I sure enjoyed mine.
Posted by: WIGIT at January 1, 2005 12:48 AM215 way to go! I know this is one of your big goals so continue at it. Still want to see a picture though :-)
Posted by: jdid at January 1, 2005 10:03 AMWell, when I saw you I didn't really think about it but I wouldn't have placed you at that weight OR that age either, so thats true. Re the hair, why not keep it as it is, it looks good like that...
Posted by: mad bull at January 1, 2005 05:43 PMtks all.
minimum 6 lbs per month (1.5 per week)
maximum 8 lbs per month (2 per week)
When I saw The Biggest Loser contestants weight loss per week, I know that these are doable. Yoga glasses start back on Monday, so that will help.
and Mad Bull, I had a discussion about the hair today with some friends and family who were over. I'll leave it as is for now (it's a lot higher....can't say 'longer' than it was when you saw me last year) and see how it goes. When the comb teeth start breaking....well, then I'll know it's time for action!
