Hi blog readers,
Thanks for your birthday wishes. The day has gone excellently with Jamaica pulling off an upset victory over Barbados out in rural Guyana where we had to drive over the fourth longest floating bridge in the world.
Smashing, just smashing. About to go and bathe, after posting a story for the website CaribbeanCricket.com. Go check it out nuh? Going to have dinner now and do the Karaoke thing. You know I'm a Gladys, ent? Most people think Karaoke is naff, but I think it's a great way to spend a birthday.
More tomorrow. I have an off day, so will spend longer. Promise.
Posted by yamfoot at October 22, 2004 09:22 PMGreat article Yammie.
You are becoming quite the journalist eh ? Traisping all over the Caribbean. All you need now is some sponsors for overseas tours :)
Oh by the way, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY !!!

bigmomma, welcome from afar. Is it winter or summer where you are now?
angry dog, we lost the last game so this mornign the jamaica team was on the flight with me, instead of stopping in barbaods for semi finals.
Posted by: Michelle at October 25, 2004 10:07 PMHappy Belated B'day mish. traipsing through the islands is my idea of a b'day. U go gyal! Hope the Guyanese don't object to their country being referred to as Mudland, but maybe this is common, and I don't get out enuff, eh?
Ciao.
oh they refer to themselves at Muddies and beign in Mudland like how Jamaicans may refer to themselves as Yardies from teh Yard
