Everytime when I sneeze, my hands go numb and I can't bend my fingers for a few seconds. It's really strange. Been happening to me now for a couple of years. I think it's tied in to my vertebrae slipping out in 2001. I have not been back in proper alignment since. Despite chiropractors cracking my vertebrae, I have had to live with pain and discomfort in my neck since then. I've accepted it.
So my wiring is not quite right I think, which affects the nerves that run out to my arm. That's Dr Yamfoot (not the PhD Dr Yamfoot, the medical Dr Yamfoot) diagnosis.
Another instance of paralysis was long time ago, maybe 1995-7 - somewhere around there, I would wake up in the middle of the night unable to move my leg. I think it was my left leg. A very frightening experience. Did an x-ray which didn't turn up anything. Doctor surmises that I pinched a nerve or something. The x-ray only showed that I have mild scholiosis. That spell wrong. What you expect....mi nat no dacta!

Ok an interesting factoid....
Did you know when you sneeze that your heart stops for a second?
Thats why people say "bless you" when you sneeze.
In the ancient days they thought that your soul actually left your body for a few milliseconds when you sneezed. The "bless you" was to ensure that it actually went back in.
Maybe your soul leaving is accompanied by momentary paralysis.

Hypochondriac means "overly concerned with one's health".
Yes, I will check out anything that appears abnormal. Not a thing wrong with that.
Now of course I have to confess sometimes I think the worst first. Like the lump at the base of my neck which has been there for a week or so. My first thought was CANCER. But turns out it's a node. But suppose it WAS cancer? Then I would have caught it quickly and had a better chance for recovery.
Ent?
