Off on the wrong (yam) foot

Well, my dears, luvs, dovecakes (a la Chester Francis-Jackson in his Social Circles column), twas such an awful start to the Eastern Caribbean jaunt that I had to write about it here

Pappa George, then to make matters worse, the match nuh rain out mah!

Steupps, as they would say in these parts. I don't know bwoy, I don't know wny I bother with this thing. The unpredictability of the weather you see. And Wednesday's match on Wednesday in Grenada also looks in doubt, based on the weather forecasts. Well, we shall see.

In the meantime, you can look at some pictures on Soppy Trinidad.

Tomorrow we had better see some cricket, damn it!

My dear Michelle, I have had the displeasure of flying LIAT only once and don't wish to repeat the experience. LIAT is an airline wannabe! Dem staff damn rude and outta order as I told the feisty gyal! Imagine, three hours after the scheduled departure from the place..... airport Immigration staff sleeping at dem desk waiting for our flight to leave (no aircraft), we ask for some information regarding the flight. She blurts out, "I can't give you any information regarding the flight. When you see de plane come den you know its time for you to leave!" (Slams door and goes into office behind counter!) She lucky I was tiyad and fed up...I was going lace har wid some claat you see! And me not talking bout nylon, cotton or polyester!

Anyhow, I hope you get to see some of your favourite sport. Failing dat, den you can watch some English football on Sunday pon TV! ;-)

match called off without a ball being bowled today. steady rain. there were some brief moments when blue skies presented themselves, but that was only for a fleeting moment.

LIAT is way back in time. Way way back.
