Sports, Lovely Sports

Guys, (I mean that in the male sense of the word), if you want to take me out on a date you know I would like, then take me to a sporting event. I was never into sports as a teenager, but we grew up around Netball so I guess that might have something to do with the excitement I feel when most sports are playing.

I will watch cricket, cricket, cricket, cricket, cricket and cricket. Then if there's time, I'll watch tennis, golf, netball, horseracing, motor racing, baseball, basketball and now American football. No...regular soccer is not really something I particularly like, but I suppose I could suffer through it.

Went to Sabina Park Friday and Saturday to watch Jamaica play Guyana in the regional Carib Beer series. Paltry crowd. If there were 200 people there, that was plenty. I took a photo to show how bad it was (come back to see it). And it couldn't have been the prices because entry was only J$200 to enter. Now when you watch the teams play, you might get your answer as to why people stay away. And of course, when you get up early like me to watch the West Indies team, whose players are selected out of competitions such as Carib Beer, you will definitely get the reason that the stands are empty.

There's no hope (for cricket). But still, as my number 1 sport to watch (and is not only cause of them form fitting pants and the underlying muscles!), I still will get up early, still will go to Sabina Park at some stage tomorrow. Sucker. Oh, for sports I sure am.
