Is Corn a Carbohydrate???

If yes, then I didn't achieve one of my goals last evening for I had corn-on-the-cob for dinner. But the good thing is (and there is a good thing in every seemingly 'bad' thing if you look hard enough) is that I didn't eat all.

Neither did I eat all of the ONE scoop of delicious Nutmeg icecream I ordered at dinner on Monday night (at an outside restaurant). Neither did I eat all of the cheese in the salad for lunch on Monday. Neither did I exercise for one hour on Monday (insert sad face here). But I did exercise for about 40 minutes though. Even when I felt like I was going to bring it up. I told the stuff to stay down, and so it did.

Tuesday, this is what I ate.

Breakfast
1 cheese & bacon omelette, 1 slice whole wheat toast, few pieces of grapefruits and a cup of tea with milk only (no sugar)

Lunch
Salad with lettuce, cabbage, carrots, cheese and a grilled chicken breast, plus water

Dinner
1 chicken thigh, 1 piece swordfish, some of the corn, steamed cho-cho carrot and ochro, a salad with lettuce, cheese (few likkle bits), and carrots, plus water.

Had nothing else - no sweet drink, no dessert (I psyched myself up NOT to go to the dessert table), no chocolate, no nuts.

And you know before, if I got up after not being able to sleep (like tonight), I would have snacked on something and then gone to sleep buff. But here I am writing instead. Remember to add 1 hour on the time of this post and you will see that it is something to 1AM.

Which means no exercise Wednesday morning either, and none Wednesday evening for sure because I am going to cocktails. Wait michmac.....social life pick up since you celebrated your birthday. Well you know, life is for living, but as the years creep on, I'm trying to shoooo away the pounds. Remember the Foxy Fortysomething gal I mentioned in the Niblets? That's what I'm working towards.

Of course, to some people I'm already foxy, but for me, this is a work in progress. Forge on to Forty (Forty- pound loss that is...nuh mind that the written goal is 20 pounds! Think big - that's no problem for me man).

corn is a big carb, but you get some reprieve, since it has so much indigestible fibre - think of how tenacious it is....the mighty corn.. going through the whole ailimentary canal intact! (Hey, I know that it is not only my corn that makes the journey! :o)
