This world not as large as some of oonu tink.
After lazing around today (day off), went on the beach. No, not to swim, but to take a circuitous route to the gym. The gym was a must today after what I ate! As this is Grenada, the friendliest island in the Caribbean (no joke), I get into the friendly mood everytime I come here (when in Rome, do as the Romans do).
So it is dusk, the sun has already set, and I see a man, well the shadow of a man, so I say "hello" and continue walking. That's what happens here....you walking down the street, and people say hello to you just like that. It's infectious. A few seconds later, the man says "Michelle?".
Well would you look at that! Mi know di man! Well known Caribbean economist, here for a meeting. So we stand and chat for about an hour about economies, the Caribbean etc. I remind him of the last time we met. Another chance encounter on Oxford Street in big ole London.
This world is too small. So my motto is, well one of them, "treat people with respect, you never know where you going to buck them up again". Walk good, as Miss Shanti would say.
