Sex & the City

What's all the rave about? I watched THE show for the first time last Tuesday night. Can't see why y'all, including Sis, would be glued to the set to watch THAT. And the acting isn't even all that. Royal Palm is better!

To each his own but, who really cares if Carrie was broken up with on a post-it?

Thoughts of the typical "Sex & the City" viewer:

If I could have a starring role, which one would I be?...........Or which one does MY life pattern right now?

Carrie, the serial monogamist who "falls" into these deep soul wrenching relationships, quite easily. Is it disbelief we exude when we watch all these various men fall in love with her, move in with her, share all these life changing moments, only to leave? And exactly which one of us is hip enoughto wwear the clothes she wears? A totally sheer piece of cloth revealing bra and all, masquerading as a blouse and some shorts with pockets(?) longer than the shorts themselves???

Or is it Samantha who tries to prove that Girls CAN DO what the guys do and still be a lady, with little success OR Happiness?

Or Miranda with the baby, juggling single parenthood and the search for Mr RIght. Doubting her own power to attract?

Or the other one whose name escapes me now who has had it all, the big wedding and "complete life" only to see it crumble like all else? Redefining herself to please yet another fella?

Real issues that all of us as women grapple with, but its always entertaining to see it portryed in an amusing format. Thats the pull I believe, for me at least and while you laugh or smile, you thinkl deep as well!

watched a little bit of it again tonight....Charlotte's disastrous wedding. Still cant see the pull. Some parts funny yes, but acting not great. Maybe it's because I dont like NY????? How shallow.

Well, I like Royal Palm too, but Sex & the City isn't all that bad either. I do believe that some of the acting on Royal Palm is far worse though. the ones that act well, really act well. I think the best ones include CC, Miss Joyce and the Tiney Winey woman. Also Inspecter Madden. But then, Madden and CC are almost acting their real life roles out in the TV program, so you done know...

OK - so my contribution to this one is late but Sex and the City is FAB! My father also watches it every week.
Lorraine - I see myself in Miranda.....an now she's hooked up with the character by Blair Underwood....you know I am just waiting for that part of my life to run parralel with hers! Where's my Blair???!!!!??
